In the good news category – Canadians are not needed as much as they used to be – the Afghan National Army is doing just fine without them for the most part. The challenge of finding Canadians mentoring is made much harder by a couple of factors. Our mission was to find Canadians doing some serious mentoring.
Camp Blackhorse is one of a number of ISAF mentoring bases inside the Kabul Military Training Centre (KMTC), a 17,000-acre military facility – mostly desert and mountains. Humvee (apparently we have a loaner program with them).
